Ellen Graham, Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA), introduced herself and gave a brief overview of the Sunset review process.





Ms. Graham continued to discuss how boxing is regulated in the state. She explained the recommendations of the Colorado Professional Boxing Safety Act Sunset Report. A copy of the report and a draft bill were provided to the committee (Attachment A)(Attachment B). Ms. Graham responded to questions from the committee.

02:19 PM -- SB 17-044



Senator Kerr introduced Senate Bill 17-044, concerning reporting requirements by DORA to the General Assembly. Under current law, any report that is required to be submitted to the General Assembly by an executive agency or the judicial branch expires after three years unless otherwise specified in statute. The bill recommends the repeal of the High Cost Support Mechanism Report; Rate Case Savings Report, and the Demand Side Management Report. The bill recommends the following be continued indefinitely: Annual Report of the Commissioner of Insurance; Annual Report of the Commissioner of Insurance on Health Insurance; Annual Report on Complaints against Insurers; and Financial Examination of Pinnacol Assurance Fund.
