07:33 AM -- Discussion on Capital Construction Budgeting
The committee was called to order. A quorum was present. Kori Donaldson, Legislative Council Staff, discussed available revenue and potential budget actions and policies the committee could move forward with in order to fund capital construction. Committee discussion ensued on how to fund controlled maintenance.
07:47 AM -- Updates Regarding FY 2017-18 Capital Budget Requests
Ms. Donaldson updated the committee on specific FY 2017-18 capital budget requests. Committee members received a list of all FY 2017-18 capital budget requests and a summary of the Level I controlled maintenance projects (Attachments A and B, respectively). Committee discussion ensued on specific budget requests and the outyear costs associated with the FY 2017-18 budget requests. Ms. Donaldson discussed the emergency controlled maintenance account.

07:57 AM -- Prioritization of FY 2017-18 Cash-Funded Requests
Ms. Donaldson dicussed the FY 2017-18 cash-funded capital budget requests. Committee discussion ensued on the four cash-funded projects from the Department of Natural Resources and the Correctional Industries - Miscellaneous Small Projects request from the Department of Corrections. Ms. Donaldson responded to a committee question regarding expenditures for property acquisitions by Colorado Parks and Wildlife. Committee discussion ensued on the source of cash funds for each capital budget request.
