12:00:37 PM

Representative Van Winkle introduced HB19-1246 concerning the regulation of food truck businesses by local governments. The bill requires a local government to grant a business license to a food truck operator that has a license from another local government.  Local governments are prohibited from requiring separate licenses or fees to operate a food truck in more than one location or more than one day in the same year or requiring certain types of documentation related to the truck's operation or location.  Local governments may enforce sales tax, zoning, and land use regulations and create ordinances or regulations regarding the operation of food trucks in the jurisdiction that aren't inconsistent with the bill's requirements.  Representative Van Winkle talked about amendment L.002 (Attachment A).
