SB18-234 - Amended, referred to House Finance

Representatives Kraft-Tharp and Catlin, bill sponsors, presented Senate Bill 18-234.  The bill makes it unlawful to own an interest in a funeral establishment or a crematory and also own an interest in a nontransplant tissue bank.  This bill also requires nontransplant tissue banks to register with the Department of Regulatory Agencies and creates a misdemeanor crime for law violations by nontransplant tissue banks.  Representative Kraft-Tharp distributed and explained amendments L.004, L.005, and L.005 [Attachments D, E, and F].
