Vivienne Belmont, Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA), presented a summary of the sunset review report for the Issuance of Private Letter Rulings and General Information Letters. A copy of the sunset report can be found at: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8bNvcf083ydY1dINnF5T25XRGc/view.



Ms. Belmont responded to questions from the committee regarding the report and DORA's recommendations based on the sunset review.

Phillip Horwitz and Amber Egbert, Colorado Department of Revenue (DOR), provided the committee with an overview of letter rulings. Mr. Horwitz provided the committee with two examples of letter rulings issued by DOR (Attachments E and F). Mr. Horwitz and Ms. Egbert responded to questions from the committee regarding DOR's Taxation Division's operations, the sunset review, and DORA's recommendations.
