The committee came back to order. Staff distributed the research note on House Bill 16-1019 to the committee (Attachment B) and explained the research note project being tested by Legislative Council.

Representative Becker presented House Bill 16-1019, concerning increased authority to use broadcast burning as a tool to promote watershed restoration. The bill was recommended by the Wildfire Matters Review Committee. Representative Becker responded to questions regarding the bill and distributed amendment L.001 (Attachment C).
